The “Dark” collection, taken primarily in Rome between ‘83 and ‘85, showcases the patrons of clubs, movies, concerts and theater events associated with the dark movement. I have only the vaguest recollection of taking this picture, but I do remember being happy about my outfit and how well my hair held up despite yesterday being the humid-est, grossest day ever. I actually really like everything he’s wearing, but I probably wouldn’t wear most of those things at the same time. I would love to have a pink suit like that! And the alligator(?) shoes are nice but I’d rather have them in black.

This was around 2005 or so. I really miss dying my whole head a crazy color. These days I just do a streak in the back; that’s me pretending to be professional. (That huge-ass ring in my nose, I don’t miss so much.) Today is one of those days. Here’s my routine: After washing and towel-drying my hair, I start with a nickel-sized blob of evo Easy Tiger Straightening Balm to smooth it out; my hair has been bleached so many times it can get very frizzy and wavy, particularly in summertime. I work that into my hair while it’s damp. I also put a few spritzes of evo Mister Fantastic Blowout Spray in there for extra body….Continue Reading →
